Expansion of cooperation with Indian partners in the field of metallurgy, mechanical engineering, mining, pharmaceuticals will be discussed by Sverdlovsk region government members during their official visit to India, which will begin on 10th of March.
Let us recall that India became the co-organizer of “Innoprom-2016”, an International Industrial Exhibition. The country is one of the strategic partners of the Middle Urals: in 2015 it ranked 12th among 143 foreign trade partners of the region.
“The visit is important due to the traditional interest of our industrial enterprises, educational, cultural and sports institutions in strengthening cooperation with India. The initiatives brought about by regional enterprises are not only of local importance. These are significant proposals for industrial cooperation and supply of goods”, – said the Minister of International and Foreign Economic Relations Andrey Sobolev.
The Ural delegation, in particular, included representatives of the companies involved in the construction of a nuclear power plant in India.
The railway network of the South Asian State is undergoing modernization and Sverdlovsk industrialists are ready to offer electric locomotives and track machines to the Ministry of Railways of the Republic of India. “It is no secret that today we are leaders in the production of locomotives, traction and rolling stock”, – said Andrey Sobolev.
Representatives of India’s biomedical sector are preparing their offers too. India is famous for its know-how in the field of pharmacy, and the parties will discuss proposals on localization of production lines of Indian companies in the Middle Urals.
